New Puppy!!!

Ok ladies and gents, here is the newest addition to my family. Her name is Kate, and she is 10 weeks old.  Kate's right eye did not fully develop so she blind in that eye, but do you think it slows her down? Not a bit. She loves to play and keep me up all night. Kate is a howler! She loves to go to grandma's house while I am at work, and I am afraid that grandma might not give her back. Her mother is a seizure alert dog named Ali, and her father, Cache, is confirmation perfection. I love her so much and am thrilled to call her mine. I have to thank Cindy and Shanna Wilkinson who took such wonderful care of Kate during her first few weeks of life. She is wonderful!

The Story of the CD

The year was 1998 my best friend’s name was Kelsie Ainsworth; to this day, thirteen years later, we are still BFFs. We loved to pass notes during school. One day along with a note she passed me a tape of songs. I loved this tape. Each song told me how important and loved I was. In 2000 my family moved to West Kaysville, and I lost the tape during the move. I was devastated, but after awhile I forgot about the tape.  One day, years later, while going through some papers I found a list of all the songs that were on the tape. I was so excited! I decided that I wanted to make a CD for Kelsie for Christmas. I took the list of songs and found them all on iTunes; I was not able to find all the same artists. Some of the artists I found were not great, but the words of the songs were the most important part for me. I had all the songs ready for the CD. Then I thought I should add a few more songs to the list. I picked some songs from my neighbors album, and one other that I discovered during college.  I added maybe four or five new songs and made the CD. I mailed the CD to Kelsie for Christmas. She loved it! I have since given it to my good friend Tatiana, and made a copy for myself. When Kelsie gave this CD to me it meant so much. The songs are about love, friendship and trust. The words of each song were just what I needed to hear. I am so grateful to have Kelsie as a friend. She has always been there for me even through the tough times. Kelsie calls and texts me regularly just to see how I am doing. Could you ask for more in a friend?

WAGON TRAIN

Ok so I have to say that I love going on the wagon train every year. Everyone is so nice, and the food is delicious! So on the first day my mom, dad, and I went on our own little trail; it was so much fun. Dad let me drive the horses for the first time, and I loved that. The second day we rode through this beautiful green valley that was covered with little streams. I have included some pictures and more will be on the way!

The Name of the Game

Today's theme is random so I will just give you a list of the things I have been up to.

1) I finished The Virgin Suicides. Interesting book, I don't know if I would read it again; it is sad.

2) I got the new white iPhone!!! I love it!

3) I am sick. An upper respiratory infection is the worst! I miss the days when I could breath.

4) Sandbagging & flooding! I have the best neighbors!

It has definitely been a week. I am so grateful for all the support I have from my family and neighbors! They sure do make life exciting. I love how everyone is smiling! Chat with you another day!

P.S. Did you notice I included pictures today!

WELL . . .

I am working on a new post patience please!

THE BEST DAY EVER!!!

Oh my goodness, today is the best day ever!!! I just got Microsoft Office back on my work computer. I have been using Open Office for almost a year now, and I hate it. I know, yes, I am brought up by that generation that has used Microsoft Office since childhood. I am biased; I even took a class in college on using Microsoft Office. It is so easy to use. Open Office might be free, but I am telling you I will never use it again. Ah, it felt good to get that off my chest.

Walking!

Good news! I am walking again after seven and a half weeks of crutches. Sometimes I thought that this day would never come. It is so nice to get to wear shoes again. I think we don't realize how much we do something until we can't do it; I am so grateful for the ability to walk. I am so grateful that spring is coming!

A New Day

I was wondering what to write about today. Not much has happened between yesterday and today. I had my voice lesson. Sometimes I wonder if I should keep singing; I have such a hard time hearing what sounds right and what is crap. The good news is that I can tell when I am really crappy. I am always afraid of the high notes. It is not so much that they are high; it is are they actually going to have that perfect tone. Will they make the audience cringe? I got two new songs. One has a powerful moment that I am just not prepared for. I don't know if I am ready .

My coworkers and I decided to order pizza for lunch today. It was recommended that we order stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut. HOLY COW!!!
